DALITA CHORLIAN Obituary

CHORLIAN, Dalita (Der Sahakian) 91, of West Newton, formerly of Watertown, passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center of Boston on April 25, 2012. Beloved wife of the late John G. Chorlian. Cherished mother of Paul C. Chorlian and his devoted wife, Tomi S. (Bergeron) Chorlian of West Newton. Dear sister of Pauline Amiralian of Woburn and the late Karmille Harutunian of Newton. Also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Dalita was born in Tiflis, Russia, now Tiblisi, Georgia, on July 4, 1920. The family emigrated to Germany in 1928, then to France in 1930, and then to the U.S.A. in 1935. She is an alumna of Girls High School of Boston and the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music. Dalita was an accomplished Gospel singer and church soloist. She was a wife, mother and homemaker who dedicated her life to her family and especially to her Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, May 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), REVERE. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, May 7 at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church, 230 Beach Street, Revere, followed by entombment in Woodlawn Community Mausoleum (Sheffield Building) of Everett.
