DANIEL SCANNELL Obituary
83, of Medford, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully at home on July 1st, 2013. Beloved husband of Natalie M. (Borges) Scannell with whom he shared 56 years of Marriage. Son of the late Daniel P. Scannell and Mary Elise (Comeau) Scannell. Dearest father of Susan DeAngelis and her husband Joe of Tewksbury, Dan Scannell and his wife Brenda of Plainville, Joseph E. Scannell and his wife Judy of Medford and Natalie E. Scannell and her husband Chris Nigro of North Reading. Loving grandfather of Vincent, Daniel, Thomas, Joseph, Jacob, Ryan, Francesca and Donny. Dear brother of the late Margaret Firth and Elizabeth Cahill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Daniel was a retired Postal Supervisor at the South Postal Annex in Boston. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., MALDEN on Saturday July 6th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 5th from 4-8 PM. Natalie allowed us to know Mr. Scannell without ever meeting him. What a tremendous legacy he leaves, loved in such a genuine way. May God help you through the transition and may you be with him again one day.
