Although I don't know Dan or his family, his death tugs at my heart. Words simply can't express the sorrow I feel for Connie and both families. My thoughts and prayers are and have been with you all for the past 2 weeks. As someone once told me, some days the pain is just too deep for words, but I'm sure Dan's watching over you all and sending you the strength you'll need to get through the coming weeks, months and years. growing up with Revere Police in my life, and knowing that all police officers are heros, and any time we loose one its like loosing a family member. I never had the honor of meeting Daniel but from what I have read he was a special person.Talbot Family, and Friends may god be with you all at this hard time, and remeber Daniel will be watching over the city of Revere and his family and fellow officers. Working at Gold's Gym in Everett is where I first met Dan. I didn't know Dan that well but the more that I did get to know him the more I grew to respect and admire him. I remember he was very excited about going on that "special" cruise with his girlfriend because he was finally going to make the jump and propose to the woman that he loved. He was very funny in a cool sarcastic way. He was an all around "nice guy" who will be missed but never forgotten. I feel thankful to have known him even if it was for such a short time. My heart, thoughts and prayers sincerly go out to his family, his fiance, his friends and the Revere Police Department.

I was very saddened to hear of Daniel's passing. My very good friend from work who grew up with him,told me about this tradgedy and I just wanted to let his loved ones know you are in my prayers. He used to pretend that he could fly and would attempt to fly outside during recess time. Unfortunately, he was taken away much too soon from a life that was only getting more and more wonderful each day! I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Dan once when he was a teen at his grandparents house in Revere. My Mom (Marcia Edwards) and his grandmother Julia were good friends until my Mom's passing several years ago.
