I was very saddened to hear just now of Don's passing. I wasn't aware of all of Don's accomplishments but, even so, one could easily tell he was a great man exhibiting personal warmth and intellectual acumen. I like to think that he was called for greater accomplishments elsewhere and look forward to seeing him in spirit again.

I have been in China for the last month and lost Google access there, just heard this heartbreaking news. My deepest condolences and sympathy to Nancy and to all the Rosenfield family members. I lost a great friend and a friendly neigbor, he will be deeply missed.

Don and I were classmates and friends at Brookline High School and were in many classes together. He was always very modest about his significant academic achievements and was really a "regular guy." We lost touch after graduation, but the news of his death saddens me and I feel a loss. My sincere condolences to Don's family.

Don was a father to all us LGO's not just by architecting that extraordinary program, but by truly caring for for each and every one of us, and believing in our unique individual potential.
