EDWARD MELVIN FREEDMAN

FREEDMAN, Edward Melvin Of Randolph and Bourne, MA and Boynton Beach, FL, entered into rest August 16, 2022 at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband of, and she the love of his life, Judith Rosengard Freedman for 64 years. Devoted father of Ellensue Freedman and the late Alan Freedman and his wife Jodi. Cherished grandfather to Melissa Freedman, Lindsay Medoff and her husband Matthew and Matthew Freedman. Adoring great-grandfather to Lily Alana Medoff. Ed was born in Boston, MA, the son of the late William and Ida Freedman. Loving brother of the late Ruby Sandler. Ed attended Brighton High School and graduated from Boston University, where he ran track and received many medals for his achievements. He was a Korean War Veteran and served in the United States Army Corps as a Tech Sergeant. In 1959, Ed started his career in the Insurance Industry by opening E.M.Freedman Insurance Agency in Randolph, MA. Ed and Judy worked side by side creating the company that's still in business today. Ed was Past Chancellor of Commonwealth Lodge Knights of Pythias. He has been a member of Converse Masonic Lodge for 54 years. Later in life, he spent his time conquering his opponents on the handball court. Funeral services and burial were private. There will be a Memorial Service at a future time and date to be announced.
