Giuseppe Pregoni

Of Palermiti, Italy formerly of Hingham at the age of 87 Dec. 1, 2007 beloved husband of Marianna (Gulla) Pregoni. Loving father of Emma Mercurio and her husband Antonio of Cohasset, Maria Prospero and her husband Pasquale of Thornwood, NY, Pasquale Pregoni and his wife Marisa of Scituate, and Gisella Varano and her husband Domenic of Bethel, CT. Devoted brother of Antonio Pregoni of Palermiti, Italy. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree until 9:45 AM Tuesday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, So. Braintree Sq. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hour Monday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Mr. Pregoni has lived in Palermiti, Italy since his retirement in 1983. Prior to moving to Italy he had lived in Hingham for 1963 to 1983. He was born in Palermiti and lived there until coming to the US in 1963. He was a retired carpenter for Boston Whaler, Rockland, where he had worked for about 13 years and retired in 1983.
