Henry Pierce Obituary

PIERCE, Henry J. Of Somerville May 5, 2009. Beloved son of the late James W. Pierce and Teresa (Buckley) Pierce. A lifelong resident of Somerville. Loving brother of Ann Cassidy and her husband James of Woburn, Joan DiPersio and her husband Livio of Haverhill, Theresa Skaling and her husband Daniel of Stoneham and many loving nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Dorothy Schleppegrell, James, George, Richard, Elizabeth LaCount and Irene Mulford. Mr. Pierce was a World War II US Navy Veteran who served in the Pacific Theater. He was employed at General Motors of Westwood for 45 years and retired 16 yrs ago. He was a very kind and generous person who enjoyed taking long walks. He will be deeply missed. Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) SOMERVILLE, Friday morning at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Catherine Church, Somerville at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours Thursday 7-9 pm. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Little Sisters Of The Poor 186 Highland Ave., Somerville, MA 02143. Mr. & Mrs. Skaling & Family,
