Dear O'Neill family,
I found out in chuch this morning that Joanne had passed away. I had known her for many years. Her smile used to light up my life, and I would give her a big smooch on the cheek whenever I saw her at Market Basket. I regret deeply not seeing her again before she died. She was, indeed, a very special person, and I loved her for being such. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
Sincerely,
Russ Mann

I am a MB customer who had the pleasure of having Joanne approach me when she saw my cross necklace. She then gave me a saint bracelet and told me she would pray the rosary while she bagged. That's what I call sharing her faith. She was a gift to us all.

I met Mrs. O'Neill at the age of 16 when I worked at Dunkin Donuts at the gas station. She would walk down every day with Joey to get a coffee and would always have a smile on her face. She was always a ray of sunshine. I enjoyed her company and will miss seeing her smiling face at Gulf and Market Basket.

Joey and the O'Neill family are all in my thoughts and prayers. She was an amazing person who will be missed by so many people who's life she encountered.

I got to know Joanne as "Joey's Mom" and over the years grew to admire her love and devotion to her family. A women of boundless energy and what a great cook!

I will miss those calzones, especially, which were entirely unecessary but appreciated, which she would make for me whenever I would help out Joe with his computer or ham radio stuff.

With Love and Prayers,

Ken
