Matthew and all the Carroll kids I babysat,
I loved knowing your family as a kid living across the street. Your parents were special. Your mom looked like Donna Reed on tv and your dad was so handsome and he could draw! The winter scene every year on the mirror in the living room? I loved babysitting for The Carrolls and eating your homemade chocolate chip cookies. But by far, my fondest memory is your Saturday cookouts with all your relatives. Like you didn´t have enough people there and you generously fed hotdogs to the Monahans, too. Best of all, I was included in the whiffle ball games with that table-leg bat! Your dad would call me Mrs. Ruth. Your parents were so kind. The best neighbors ever. I am sorry to hear of Mr Carroll´s passing, but I know that he had a long life that was very, very well-lived. God bless Penny and all the Carrolls now and always. I´m sure the many fond memories you all have will keep your Dad alive in your hearts forever.
Very Fondly,

With the great consternation, we are so sorry for your loss. You have a wonderful dad and a strong loving family with great memories to share forever.
I remember meeting your dad for the 1st time early one Monday morning in the middle of April in 2011. We (Joanie´s and Ted´s running crew) were staging at his house to get ready for the Boston Marathon. Your dad was so welcoming and kind and full of enthusiasm for us. What a great way to start the race. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Love

Papa, the gap you have left is so huge. From millions of miles in Uganda, we are overwhelmed with the sad news of your departure. The world will not be the same again. But we will find comfort in the knowledge that you are in a better place, with your God whom you served faithfully and boldly. Your faith was fearless. Your belief was believable. Your care was comforting. Your laughter was contagious. Your love was steadfast and limitless. Your stories were heartwarming. When you gave you, you gave it all. You have left a challenge to the living. May the Lord enable us to continue this noble work from where you've left off. Rest in Eternal Peace Eng. John J. Carroll Jr. Till we meet again.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family. Papa John was an amazing man who loved his family so much. Whenever we would see him at Chris and Janine´s home we loved listening to the stories he would tell. What an amazing life he lead and such a great example of a Christian. I´m sure when he approached the gates of Heaven he was greeted by many loved ones and told, "Well done my good and faithful servant." God Bless the entire family.
