I am so saddened and shocked to hear of John's passing. He was incredibly kind and helpful. I had the great opportunity to work with him at Bank of America for almost a full decade and he was always supportive and generous with his time and had a knack with making people laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you and with your family.

Dear Deirde and Jack, I was honored to be in St. Agatha's Church today. As I listened to Jack talk about his father I remembered being with you Dad on a field trip when you were in Carriage house nursery school with our daughter Jillian. I can remember your Dad at Wolaston pool throwing you in the air,you both laughing! It was infectious. Keep those and all of your wonderful memories that you spoke about today close forever. Jack you have grown to be a handsome bright young man, take care of your mom. Please know we are thinking of you both. Your Dad must be very proud...

My deepest condolences to the Karle family. I met John when I moved to Boston in late 2000, at Fleet. Even though our paths diverged after a couple of years, we always ran into each other a couple of times a year, and he always took the time to catch up, even as he was running to the next meeting! John's smile was infectious, and I always walked away from our chats smiling myself. He will be missed.

John was my first crush in 1st grade. I was always chasing him around the Hatherly school playground trying to steal a kiss! We were classmates at St. Mike's too. Although I have not seen him in several years his engaging personality and smile comes to mind. May the Karle family know how much John was respected and loved. My condolences.

I have known John my entire career at Bank of America going back to the Bank of Boston days. This is a very sad time as John is a huge loss to all who had the privilege to know him. It is difficult to understand why a person like John is taken from us at such a young age. Smart, funny and a bit frenetic at times, I will always remember the fun we had while working at an often crazy place. John is one of those special people that will always have a place in my heart.

I worked with John at Fleet in Boston and we sat next door to each other for a couple of years.
John was funny , and was a helpful mentor to me as I made my way at Fleet Bofa. I remember John bringing Jack into the office and Jack was this tiny cute kid. I last saw John at AFP a year or so ago and he was so proud of Jack and that Jack would soon be heading to college.
Jack and family , I am so sorry for your loss.

I send my deepest condolences to John's family. I met John at SMC and have many wonderful memories of those times. He was truly a people person and was always fun to be around.

He thoughtfully reached out to me many years later when my brother passed away to express his sympathies.

Once a friend of John Karle's, always a friend.

I remember John from our time at Babson and specially when we were members of the MCFE program working in Switzerland. We lost contact after graduation, but I remember his energy and work ethic. A good man is missing and will live in our memories. My condolences to his family.

I worked with John at Bank of America in Boston- what a fun spirit! We always joked around about his boat shoes (no socks, of course), talked about Falmouth, and so many other little things that made life happy. When I came back home to visit, he was always making the effort to catch up over lunch, ask how old bank friends were doing, etc. He had a big heart.

He also loved his family and was so proud of his son. He will be missed by many.

RIP, JK

John has been my friend since freshman year at Xaverian as well as Saint Mike's and all the years since...when I arrived at Saint Mike's freshman year John had already been up there and knew the lay of the land and was there to help me and my folks unpack my Dad's station wagon and then introduce me to all the students he already knew....that is just one of those kind of stories about John...he would frequently show up in Newport to see his Dad and would stop by the house to see me and Karen and the kids for what was always a fun reunion with always a promise of longer next time...he was a good friend and he will be missed...

John and I worked together at BankBoston for just a few years. Our paths diverged, but I would always seek John out at conferences or business events to catch up with him and share a laugh. What a genuine love of life and ability to connect with people.I knew him only fleetingly and will miss him. My heart goes out to his family and close friends who had such a short time with him.

My thoughts and prayers are with Deidre, Jack, and all the Karles. There is a most special spot in my heart for John, my friend, schoolmate at SMC, co-worker for a few years at Fidelity, and partner-in-crime at any number of parties/events over the years. Even though we hadn't seen each other in many years, a quick note here and there kept the thread our friendship intact. The whole Clark family sends their love and respect. Love you, John!!

I met John at St. Michael's College. I last saw John in Newport RI with Jane Bartels. It was such a fun evening, the three of us reminiscing and catching up. I will miss his big "Luuuuuuu" each time we met. John always had a great story to share and a great smile to go with it....

The older I get, the more I come to realize that when we lose a person we love and care for the "earth feels different......"

Rest John, be at peace and let your soul fly free......

My deepest sympathies to Dee and Jack. My heart aches for both of you.

...Today feels different.

I was nervous showing up to St. Michael's as a sophomore transfer student. I had not seen John in a year but at the orientation check in he left a note telling me where to meet him and his circle of friends. John connected me that day to multiple people who would become lifetime friends. Whether at Xaverian, St. Michael's, Cape Cod, Newport or, more recently, a BC football tailgate, John was always introducing and connecting me to people. He was engaged in the world and brought people together. And, he cared. The last time I spoke with John was in March about a week after my Dad died. He called to see how I was doing.
