Dear Andrea and Amy
I worked at New England Telephone with your Dad many years ago. At one of our "staff meetings", your Dad took our group out on his sailboat. That was one of the best company meetings ever! Shortly after your Dad retired, my husband and I visited St Maarten and made sure that we stopped by to see your Dad. He was always the most gracious and happy person we knew. We have so many fond memories of that trip to St Maarten and always laugh about how much fun we had with your Dad.
May you and your family find peace in knowing that he loved you girls so very much and always talked about you. I lost contact with your Dad these past 20 years but wished I had kept in touch. I recognized his photo in the Boston Globe immediately... that smile that could light up a room.
God bless you both and your families. Our sincere condolences at your loss.
Sincerely
Rich and Kathleen Rinaldo Bertulli

Dad,
Thank you for making me the woman that I am today. Throughout life you were always there for me. You were my first phone call, my rock and my confidant. You taught me to love and appreciate life through great adventure and exploration. You guided me through every hurdle and accomplishment. Your generosity, thoughtfulness, dedication, sense of humor, knowledge, intelligence, and endless love for us did not go unnoticed. You dedicated your life to your two little girls and I thank you for that.
My pain has only just begun and I know I'll be lost without you. This year I received the gift of an angel, our baby girl, Ashley. I know you hung in there to meet her. Her first smile was when she met you and I'll never forget that. I plan to instill the same values and life lessons you taught me. Your legacy will continue through fun memories, adventures and laughter.
I'm so sorry for all the pain and suffering you have endured. These last 6 months were the hardest of them all. You fought a good fight and I'm proud of your strength, courage and your desire to live until the end.
With the wind in your sail, you are now free to set sail on open ocean and calm waters. Some of my favorite memories were on the water with you. I feel at peace now that you are no longer in pain and you are free.
I love you so much and I will miss you every day. Until we meet again, Dad.
Forever your little girl, Andi.
You will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore! Dream! Discover! - Mark Twain
