To the entire Polizzi Family,

I was devasted to hear of Gigi's passing. We were childhood friends from Princeton Street in East Boston. Our mothers used to walk us back and forth to school together when we were in kindergarten. After school we would play on the swings in Gigi's backyard. I can picture Gigi and that big, beautiful smile of hers. Please accept my sincere condolences on your great loss. You are all in my thoughts.

I just found out about the tragic news of Josephine (Gigi). I went to High School with Gigi she was my best friend. My mom had just mentioned to me the other day that I should go see Gigi at her shop and get my haircut. I was going to stop in and surprise her, and then I just heard of her passing. I just want to say how truly sorry I am for your loss. Gigi was a wonderful person, and I will always remember her spark for life, and for how she made me laugh. God Bless her family and Gigi at this terrible time in your lives.
With deepest sympathy,
Charlotte~

Dear Robert and the whole Polizzi Family,

Josephine would cut my son's hair when he was 2 and 3 years old. Being quite the energetic little guy and a child with Asperger's, it was very difficult finding a hairdresser who had the patience and understanding that he needed. We had previously had some unpleasant experiences until my grandmother, who was a regular of Josephine's, suggested I take him to her. She was such a blessing and godsend. She went above and beyond what a hairdresser would do, buying him little gifts and just exhibiting the patience of a saint. He was so relaxed when he sat in that seat with her and just loved her so much. We were saddened when she had to close her shop and prayed for her health. We are now saddened to hear of her passing, but are consoled to think that she is now reunited with her mother, whom she spoke of so often and how much she missed her.

You, her family, are in our prayers at this time. Know just how very much Josephine was loved by all her customers. She is deeply missed by so many.

Peace,
Kim Mance and family
