MARY E. SWEENEY

SWEENEY, Mary E. (Murphy) Of Dorchester and formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully, at Serenity Hill Nursing Center in Wrentham, on June 27, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Matthew Sweeney. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Sweeney and her friend, Maryellen Palingo of Weymouth; daughter, Sheila Sweeney and her partner, Shawn Davis of Duxbury; son, Matthew Sweeney and his wife, Jill Sweeney of Dorchester; and son-in-law, Thomas Woods of Yarmouth. Predeceased by loving daughter, Dorothy "Dolly" Woods. Loving nana of Connor and Ryan Sweeney and the late Christina and Jake Feeney (NFD). Visitation in the John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St. (Adams Village), DORCHESTER, Wednesday morning, from 9-10:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Brendan's Church, at 11 o'clock.
