THORNTON, Mary Claire (Sylmon) Of Brookline, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on June 4, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Thornton. Loving mother of her six wonderful daughters, Kathy Keeley and her husband, Dennis of West Roxbury, Maureen Carroll and her husband, Danny of West Yarmouth, Jo-Ann Harrington and her husband, Philip of Brookline, Susie O'Donnell and her husband, Bill of Norwood, Carolyn Riley and her husband, Jack of Norwood and Michele "Micki" Francis and her husband, Jack of Fleming Island, FL. Dear sister of the late Thomas Slymon, Veronica "Ronnie" Meade and John Slymon. Also survived by her 18 adored grandchildren, nine cherished great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., BROOKLINE, on Friday morning, at 10:00, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Lawrence Church, Chestnut Hill, at 11:00.
