DRUMMY, Nicholas A. Jr. 78 of Norwell formerly of South Boston, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014. The son of the late Nicholas and Margaret (Creedon) Drummy, he was born in Boston on March 1, 1936. Nicholas was raised and educated in Mission Hill, was a graduate of Mission High School and later served in the Army. After he was discharged he was employed by the Boston Housing Authority for 40 years. Nicholas enjoyed watching sports, especially the Patriots, Bruins and Notre Dame. He loved traveling especially to Ireland. But most of all he loved spending time with family. Devoted husband of Loretta M. (Gavin) Drummy, loving father of David W. Drummy and his wife Deborah of Hanover, Papa of Jillian, Nicholas and Caroline. Brother of Frank Drummy of FL and the late Marion Gavin and William Drummy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and many family members of his second home in his beloved Ireland. Visiting hours omitted. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 31 at 10 AM in St. Helen Church, 383 Washington St, Rte 53 in Norwell. When the time comes, he and his wife will be brought to their final resting place, Ireland.
