PAMELA MIELE Obituary

MIELE, Pamela J. In the passing of Pamela J. Miele, a brilliant light has been extinguished. Pam left us on May 31, 2023 at the tender age of 57 in Weymouth, MA, leaving behind a void in the hearts of all who knew her. The youngest daughter of Anne and John Teehan, Pam was born in Dorchester, MA, a place she held dear in her heart. She was a diligent reporter and writer for the Boston Globe for many years and a alumna of St. Margaret grammar school, Cardinal Cushing High School and the University of Mass Boston. Pam was a mother first and foremost, her love for her children, Samantha J. Miele of Oklahoma City, Dawn E. Miele of Lowell, MA, and Salvatore J. of Tyngsborough, MA, knew no bounds. She was deeply loved by her siblings and their spouses, John & Laura Teehan of Weymouth, Michael Teehan, Onset, Evelyn & Phil LeBlanc, Kingston, Mary and Ken Trocki, Ipswich, Janet and (late Larry) Dunlap, Pembroke, Anne Marieand Donny Afienko, Scituate, Carolyn Teehan, Dorchester, Cheryl Teehan Gallego and Lou Gallego, Lynn and Annette Smith, Scituate, her oldest and dearest niece/friend and confidante, daughter of her late sister, Pat. Pam was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Patricia A. Sidorowicz (Teehan); and her nephew, Randy Sidorowicz. Pam had too many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews to mention but, she loved them all. Pam was a longtime friend of Bill W. A Celebration of Pam's Life will be held on Thursday, June 8th 2023, at 11 am, at St. Margaret/Our Lady of Calcutta Church, 800 Columbia Road, Dorchester, MA 02125. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Norwell VNA & Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061, their staff was compassionate and caring to Pam over the last 2 years.

I just learned of Pam's passing. My heartfelt sympathy to Pam's children, Samantha, Dawn, and Salvatore as well as the rest of her family on her loss. I'm sure there must be a huge void in your lives. I knew Pam to be a lovely and loving person. She will be deeply miss. With love and sympathy to you all.

We sold Pam the lot for her home on Booth Hill Road and watched her over the years raise a beautiful family. Always with a great smile, she was a terrific mother and neighbor. We are so sad at her passing but know she had the love and friendship of all she met along her too short stay.

Pam was my dear friend for many years. She was our neighbor when our children were young, we had so many fun times together. Pam made every outing an adventure, she had a huge heart and was always extending a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kindness was pure, she never complained or said a bad thing about anyone. We had so much fun going for walks, going to a dude ranch in Arizona to ride horses, getting kittens to surprise her children with on Christmas, so many happy memories. Her love for her children was immense, they were her purpose and motivation for everything that she did. She will be very much missed, and live on forever in our hearts
