Dear Kristin and family,
My heart aches for all of you. I have such sweet memories of our children playing together...especially Patrick and Jacy; both of them kind, gentle souls full of curiosity and always interested in sharing their new discoveries. Patrick knew more about dinosaurs at 6 than most adults ever will. And those wonderful days with the kids in Vinalhaven walking the fields, climbing trees and gathering little treasures on the rocky coastline...so lovely. I wish I could be at the celebration of his life to hear more about his life these past years...but I do celebrate the fact that my family was fortunate enough to have known him and his wonderful family. I'm so glad I did have the opportunity to meet Beca...it was obvious that they cared very much for each other. You are all in my heart and my thoughts...love, Cissy

Patrick has taught, shared, expressed love, and shown his loves to all ages. A beautiful, compassionate man without hesitation. He touched so many of us, with his words, thoughts and especially you (Rebecca). We are only so lucky to have met such an inspirational knowledgable man, who not only helped us look at the world differently, though to reach further than from we thought we could. Thank you, Patrick, for teaching me one moment at a time and that it is okay to just be and that nothing is to fare too reach for.

Many live life looking to take out as much as they can. Like a Cherry Blossom in February, Patrick chose to give. A beloved king, and the wisest wizard, Patrick enriched and was enriched pouring friendship, wit, understanding, and patience. Older, wiser men complete their journey unaware of the immortal currency. Patrick lives in the multitudes her generously touched on his journey. God Bless Patrick Clapham.

I heard about Patrick through Kate O'Donnell, and am sorry we never had a chance to meet. My husband Curtis L. Clapham of Lyon Mississippi, was the son of Carlos Clapham, born near Cleveland, Ohio. He met and married Mattie Teer while on a motorcycle trip to the West Coast, but never got further than Mississippi. I am sure there is some relationship, and would have liked to share notes.

There are so many things I want to say but, I find it difficult to put into words. I worked with Patrick in Brookline. We shared a love of books and games. I gave him a lot of my paints when I moved back west. Luckily, through the internet, we were able to keep in touch. I was only too happy to oblige when he asked me to write a recommendation for him when he applied for the library position ( I had been his supervisor in Brookline) He was smart, funny, and loved to learn new things. I'm just so stunned and saddened that he has left us so soon. My heart goes out to his wife and family. He was, one of us.

I will always remember Patrick as a quiet and kind soul, a little boy with big eyes and a young man with a quirky interesting story or fact to share. His family is a family with big hearts and humor and intelligence and acceptance, he was blessed to be surrounded by them and they were blessed to share his life path - a short
Journey but filled with life and love!

Patrick, the kindness you showed me when I lost my parents in 2017 will never be forgotten. I was virtually a stranger to you, and you & Rebecca took the time to come to the service for both of them and support me. It meant the world to me and I'll bet you never knew what a difference that small gesture made. But from what I'm seeing in the condolences you were that kind of man, kind and compassionate, I believe that. In the short time I talked with you I could see it. Thank you again for leaving a positive mark on this world with so many. My love goes out to your family and of course your beautiful and loving wife, my friend, Rebecca. I just have no words for how sad and sorry I am for all of your loss of such a wonderful man. - Lisa Provost
