O'BRIEN, Patrick Of Chestnut Hill, formerly of Headford, County Galway, Ireland, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a lengthy illness on September 27, 2021, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of over 54 years to Nancy (Coyle). Predeceased by his parents: Stephen and Margaret (Walsh) of Co. Galway; and by brothers: Thomas of Co. Galway; Rev. John of Pinehurst, NC; James of Newton, and his surviving wife Joan (Healy); and Francis of Newton, and his surviving former wife Mary Anne (Keady) O'Brien. Loving father of Patrick and his wife Dyanne of Chestnut Hill; Margaret of Chestnut Hill; John and his wife Kristen of Chestnut Hill; and Stephen and his wife Caroline of Chestnut Hill. He will be forever remembered by his family: Mary Saul and her husband Damien of Co. Meath; Bridgett Egner and her husband Robert of Tiburon, CA; Stephen of Waltham; Christy and his wife Peggy of Co. Galway; and Ann McDonnell and her husband Joseph of Co. Mayo; and many loving nieces and nephews. Proud and loving "Papa" of Patrick, Emily, Aidan, Katherine, Erin, Jack, Thomas, Bailey, and Matthew. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, 28 Commonwealth Ave., Chestnut Hill at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
