PAUL LONDON Obituary

LONDON, Paul A. Of Lexington MA, age 87 passed away peacefully, April 14, 2023. Paul leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years, Laura Zwirn London, the mother of their two children: Judi Brosnan and Ted London; their spouses John Brosnan and Christie London; five loving grandchildren, Emmy, Josh, Aaron, Chloe and Ross; his nieces and nephews, Bonna, Sherri, Mark and Dan; and many other friends and relatives. Paul and his wife, Laura loved ballet, modern dance, and the theatre. He was an avid reader, and truly believed in lifelong learning, taking classes at Tufts, Radcliffe, and elsewhere throughout his adult life. They also were world travelers having visited 190 different countries during their adventures. Paul was previously the CEO of Friend Lumber Company of Lowell, Burlington and Peabody. Paul will forever be remembered and admired as a wonderful husband, caring individual, loving father, a devoted grandfather, and a real Mensch. He will dearly be missed by all who loved him and knew him as the "Big Z". Paul will be laid to rest at Westview Cemetery. The graveside service will be at 11AM on April 18. I worked at Friend Lumber in Lowell during my high school years. Paul was good to me , never forgot his kindness and guidance. After my enlistment in the Marines I got a call and he offered me a job working in the Burlington store while I attended College. Eventually I moved on but throughout my lifetime I always kept a special place in my heart for him. A good man, someone I looked up to. God bless
