Went looking for a very old friend online today and discovered we had lost him in 2017. Peter G Osgood was one of my sign posts in my life who I worked for back in the 70's and 80's. His obit sounds like he wrote it himself - which makes it more endearing. The part about the chilled gimlet was spot on, as I shared more than one martini with him back in those years. He always requested it dry with Tanqueray and two onions.....
He nicknamed me "Rebel" for my southern roots, and I can still hear him yelling "Rebel!" down the hall while trying to find me in the office or the teletype room. (Yes, we had teletypes back then and roto-faxes were just beginning to be used!!)
He led an amazing life - always with energy and the joy of living.....
He will be missed!

I am sad to hear Peter has died. At least two years had gone by since he and I last talked; I should have been much better about reaching out to him.
Please accept my sincere condolences, with heartfelt best wishes to his family.
