MAMMONE, Richard W., Sr. "Dick" On November 16, 2015, age 80. Beloved husband of Ruth (Schroeder) for 50 years. Father of Richard, Jr. & his Wife Cheryl of South Dartmouth, MA and Lisa & her husband Dr. Michael Mastromatteo of Beverly, MA. Richard was the devoted son of the late John & Angela (Poncia) Mammone. Born in Hyde Park on November 13, 1935, Dick was the fourth of five children, Phyllis Mascaro of Medfield, MA & the late Joseph, Anita Fata and John. Dick attended Hyde Park High School. He served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1964, stationed in Kentucky. After leaving the Army, Dick began a lifelong career in Sales. After marrying Ruth in 1965, they moved from Hyde Park to Raynham, MA, where the family resided for nearly 30 years. After retirement in 2001, Dick and Ruth moved to Taunton, MA, where they stayed until moving to Beverly, MA in 2013. Dick was an avid reader, and was a wealth of knowledge regarding almost anything. He had a strong desire to know the facts and obtain the truth about any subject. He loved reading both fiction and nonfiction, and enjoyed his daily newspapers. His favorite time of the year was autumn, watching the Patriots and other NFL teams. Most recently, he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, and watching his youngest granddaughter, Ella Ruth, grow up. Along with his immediate family, Dick is survived by four grandchildren, Carly & Cassidy Mammone, Owen Goetemann & Ella Ruth Mastromatteo, as well as three Step children, Jeffrey Moniz, Tracy Moniz & Teri Sweeney, all of East Falmouth, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
