Richard Nye Obituary

NYE, Richard A. Of Weymouth passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 24, 2009, at the age of 56. Richard was a lifelong resident of Weymouth where he grew up and raised his family. A graduate of Weymouth High School, he went on to graduate from Boston State College. Richard worked as a Plant Manager for the Cohasset Wastewater Plant for over 10 years. He is the beloved son of Frances Humble of Marshfield, husband of Kathy (Canisius) Nye of Hull, loving father of Melanie Nye of Pembroke, Stefanie Nye of Belmont and Samantha Nye of Whitman. Visiting hours will be held at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington Street, WEYMOUTH LANDING on Thursday, August 27th from 4:00-8:00 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home on Friday, August 28th at 10 am. Burial will immediately follow at the Village Cemetery in Weymouth. If desired, donations can be made in his memory to the Urban Parks Trust Fund (to support Nantasket Beach) DCR, 251 Causeway St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114.
