Uncle Rich,
You were my favorite Uncle. Thank you for all the great memories of visiting us in Minnesota.
My Mom was always laughing when you were around.

Rich, I was one of the young kids around Ashmont St. and the Hemmy that looked up to you. Fortunately, I got involved with you as an adult through Milton Youth Hockey. Your integrity, intuitive competence, thoughfulness, and humility were very apparent to so many that respected you. We all will miss you greatly.

Rich, You were a role model for every kid who knew you in the neighborhood and for your classmates at Dorchester High. You were also a hell of a football player who played hard and tackled hard as I can personally attest after having absorbed one of your bone crushing efforts during a practise at the Hemy. It was then I realized I was more suited to playing ping pong as my preferred sport of choice. You were a credit to your family and to the human race. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Ann and family. I am deeply sorry for your loss. We all know Richie was such a great guy. Wish I could say this in person, but not able to

Remmy, you are the best, no doubt in my mind. You are the kindest, smartest, most genuine person I've ever known.
When we kicked the can or played Buck Buck on
Ashmont Street, you were the kid I trusted, intuitively and completely. When we were Falcons, you were the other tackle, the superior tackle, my Hemmy team mate. When I was a shipwreck in the teen whirlpools of Dot High, you were always a port of refuge, a haven for me. And when we were much older, in the "class reunion" years, you, Remmy, called me home and welcomed me at Braintree, just the way a friend does it. There are few things better than that in this life.
Thank you, Rich Remmes. Thank you.
