I was just informed of Sean's passing. He was a great guy. I first met Sean when he was a project manager for Fox Hill Village in Westwood while working for Schumacher Landscape. Both of us graduated from U-Mass but we never really met given that we were a couple years apart.
I finished Grad school in 1988 and walked into a recession with very limited work. An LA in Cambridge sent me home with a set of plans for Fox Hill and a couple weeks later I met Sean at a job site. To say the least, Sean and the team showed me how it was done. My first real project has stuck with me throughout my career. He was a great guy. Real team player. We would cross paths periodically to catch up. He never changed, other than the hair line and girth like all of us. Same smile, same personality. Approachable, up beat. A pace setter. I am sure he has been a mentor for countless over the years both professionally and personally. I am sure he has instilled the same character in your family. He will be deeply missed.
My sincerest condolences.

Lori and family, my deepest sympathy for the sudden passing of Sean. Sean was an amazing Boss but an even better friend. He always gave his time and made us feel as his friend that we were the most important thing going on in his life at that moment. Because of Sean I have learned how to be more committed and present to people and I will forever be thankful to him for that.

Sean was a dedicated leader who drove his team to build amazing landscapes for people to embrace the beauty in the world. A hallmark of his leadership is his teamwork and mentoring; the group he developed will continue to build on his legacy in the entire region. I am blessed to carry the memories of Sean and his smile and sense of humor. My prayers go out to Lori, the family and all his coworkers who truly valued his presence, strength and leadership. He left an impression that will carry on in a very positive way for many years to come.

Words seem inadequate when trying to express the sadness this news brought. My deepest condolences. It is with a tremendous amount of gratitude that we thank you, his family, for sharing Sean with us he was one of the most genuine, honest and giving individuals. Sean brought out the best in all of those around him. At ValleyCrest, watching Sean orchestrate his team was a testament to just one of his many talents, leadership. I cherish the time we were able to spend together as he indelibly impacted my life for the better. Sean will always be remembered with great fondness simply put, he was in a class of his own. Wishing you comfort and consolation during this difficult time.

Our thoughts are with the Brosnan family in this time of sorrow. I had the pleasure of doing business with Sean for the past 19 years. Sean took his job very seriously and always did an excellent job managing snow removal services for several large properties in Westborough. He was very personable as well and he truly cared about people.
It's very easy to see by all the pictures posted he was deeply loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May your memories of Sean be a source of comfort.

Lori, Justin, Griffin, Cameron. With shock and great sadness, our entire team sends our condolences to you all. It was nearly 25 years ago that Sean entrusted his care to me when I was a very young dentist. He saw my practice grow exponentially, thanks to his many referrals and kind recommendations. To have spent much time talking about "his boys" and the pride with which he shared their births, sleepless nights, elementary school projects, high school sports, college search, summers at the beach house, renovation projects, and all the in-between, I am honored to have known and been associated with Sean and your family over the years. His warm greetings, his acerbic wit about our competing baseball allegiances, but most importantly his ever prideful boasts about his family and the mounting accomplishments of his sons, were welcome topics of his many visits here. I/We will miss him and send warm wishes that your loss will be lightened by the thought of how much his life was impactful on others and the pride he had in you.

Lori, Justin, Griffin and Cam, we are absolutely shocked by the news of Sean's passing. He was a true gentleman, great father and a good friend. He had these qualities on display whether he was in a social gathering, ball field or at work. My family and I were lucky enough to have know Sean in many of these settings. I will always remember what he did for me professionally, he was a consummate professional at every turn. We will all miss his quick wit and the laugh that followed. I always like to think they only take the good ones early, Sean was a good one and he will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to Lori and the boys. Seam will be sadly missed at BrightView. He was quick with a joke and never missed making me laugh during every conversation we had. He had a high bar and made everyone he worked with better. Rest in Peace my dear friend and may God bless your family and ease their suffering.

We are at a loss of words to truly express our grief at the passing of Sean. As Senior Vice-president at BrightView, Sean was highly respected and considered a landscape expert with few peers. His devoted his energy to building and managing a great team and with enthusiasm and leadership grew the business to be the leading landscape development company in New England. Lori, Justin, Griffin and Cam - we cannot begin to understand your sorrow and we want you to know that his memory and legacy will stand with us as we go about our jobs each day. My deepest sympathy. Sean was the best. I’ll never forget his generosity and the caring person he was. He taught me so much. I knew Sean for 20 years and worked for him for 10. My career was shortened by illness and that’s when Sean really showed his generosity and caring. I am so grateful that I got a chance to see him last year when I was in Boston. Of course he wouldn’t let me pay for breakfast. That’s how he was. I will miss him very much.
My sincere condolences go out to his family. He will always be in my thoughts.
You weren’t just my boss. You were a friend.

Lori, Justin, Griffin, and Cameron: It is with my deepest sympathies that I write this to you. As you know and will hear stories, your husband and father was one of the most remarkable men. I worked with him many years at ValleyCrest and we became even closer when I left ValleyCrest and we could speak as friends. He was a father figure and mentor to me. As I have told other colleagues I always felt more assured of myself when I was in his presence. I know without a doubt his character, his integrity, his honorable nature has rubbed off on me and everyone he interacted with. He had a keen eye to see the potential and goodness in all that life has to throw at us. He never shied away from any challenge because he always knew there were lessons to be learned in the battle. I cannot thank you enough for the gift of your husband and father. May the peace and grace of our lord rest upon you and your family.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
God bless you Sean, he blessed all of us who had the privilege to have been a part of your life.
