THOMAS BOUSSY Obituary

BOUSSY, Thomas H. Of Quincy, died August 2, 2016. Tom, originally from Dorchester, spent his adult years in the Houghs Neck section of Quincy. He was a graduate of Boston Tech High, Boston State College and earned his Masters in Education from Wayne State University. He was a lifelong educator with the Boston School System teaching at South Boston, Madison Park and Charlestown high schools. Besides teaching, he was a longtime high school hockey coach and spent 40 years as a football referee. In addition, he was a softball umpire in and around Boston most recently serving as the commissioner of the Boston Teachers League and the Boston Hotel League. Beloved husband of 53 years to Barbara Boussy of Quincy. Loving father of Mark Boussy and his wife Sara of TX, Michael Boussy and his wife Susan of Dover, Thomas Boussy, Jr., and his wife Julie of Stoneham, Christian Boussy and his wife Nicole of Pembroke and Karen Boussy of Pembroke. Devoted Papa of Kayla, Kai, Eli, Luciano, Mirabella, Sarah, Hannah, Sydney, Sam, Cole, Shane and Lexi. Cherished brother of Paul Boussy and his wife Jane of Chatham, Marie McLaughlin and her husband Rick of Quincy, Dick Boussy and his wife Debbie of Weymouth and Bobby Boussy of Quincy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy, at 9 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Tom may be made to The National Temporal Bone Registry, 243 Charles Street, Boston, MA 02114 or to Caring for Cure, In Care of Lunder 9 & 10, 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA 02114.
