Wayne Weaver Obituary

Of Scituate, formerly of Colorado, on Thursday, December 6, 2001 at the Life Care Center of the South Shore, Wayne Loren, age 76. Born in Boulder, CO; attended Boulder High School, graduated Class of 1943; graduated from the University of Colorado Class of 1946 with a BS; graduated from University of Illinois with Masters in Engineering in 1947. He retired in 1996. He was the founder and President of Centennial Structural Engineers, Boston, MA from 1968-1996. Belonged to the Boston Society of Structural Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is survived by his wife Anne V. Weaver of Scituate. Father of Marc Weaver of Boulder, CO; Marcia Weaver-Chapko of Seattle WA; Martin Weaver of Brooklyn, NY; Megan Weaver Tooker of Urbana, IL, Matthew Weaver of Portland, ME; Meredith Weaver of Palo Alto, CA. Grandfather of Alana and Makara Chapko; and Andrew Oskar Weaver of Brooklyn, NY. Donations may be made in his memory to Massachusetts General Hospital Brain Tumor Center, 109 Blossom St., Cox Building, Room 315, Boston, MA 02114, or to a charity of one's choice. A Memorial Service will be held in mid January.

Wayne was the first to hire me fresh out of school and give me a chance to learn under his guidance. Having worked for Wayne has always been an asset, every since as he was well known throughout the design/build community of Boston. He'll be missed.
