William JOHANSON Obituary
Born in Boston, MA on April 28, 1943, he was the son of the late John and Geraldine (Cronin) Johanson.
William grew up in Boston and attended Boston Latin High School. He was a proud member of the United States Army and was stationed for a year in Greenland. After the army, William worked for Boston Local 12 as a plumber for several years and as a contractor at Norwood Hospital. William retired from Babson College after 17 years as "Trades Supervisor". "Bill" was a Master and Journeyman plumber and licensed as a pipe and sprinkler fitter as well. William was a lifetime member of the Boston Elks Lodge No. 10. He loved his family and boxer dogs and will always be remembered as a generous man.
William was the loving husband of Carole (Atkins) Johanson, he was the beloved father to Erica Sevigny of Wrentham and the late William H. Johanson Jr.; brother of Jack Johanson of Virginia, Nancy MacGrath of Indiana, and the late Robert, Stephen, and Gerald Johanson. He is survived by his nephews, Robert Johanson Jr. and Michael Johanson along with numerous nieces and nephews whom he cherished.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visitation on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 4-7 PM, in the R.J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South St., WRENTHAM. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 11 AM, in the R.J. Ross Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Wrentham Center Cemetery.
