I am so sad to hear this but my prayers are with his family. Bill was always a kind listener and positive voice during my years in Boston. Always swapped baseball stories!

Bill taught me Resource Development at the Heller School. He was always very kind and helpful whenever I contacted him. I also met my partner of 25 years at one of Bill's December parties. I am so sorry to hear the sad news.

My heart goes out to his family. Bill responded every time I reached out for advice or asked him to help a fellow fundraising colleague. He was a mentor and true professional. RIP Bill.

I was so saddened to hear of Bill's passing. As a fundraiser for over 30 plus years I have worked with Bill on and off during my career. He was so devoted to helping the profession and sharing his wealth of experience with so many - the profession has benefited greatly from Bill and he was certainly one of a kind who will be missed greatly.

Bill was the epitome of kindness. He was the patriarch of a lovely family, all who shared his kindness. What a beautiful life he lived, may his spirit always shine on.

Bill, always Dean, to me, was a great brother-in-law. He was also a devoted son to his mother, son-in-law to our, my sister and myself, parents, and brother-in-law to my wife Helen. Many years ago, we were both delighted to find we shared a regard for, "Diffusion of Innovations," by Everett Rogers, and frequently referred titles looking for additional shared favorites. Dean was always positive, warm, and supportive even while in the grasp of his terminal illness. Helen and I wish him well on his journey.

Bill was a tremendous friend and mentor to me, as he was to 100s of other development professionals, for over 30 years. He leaves the world a better place. I´ll miss him.
