Of Bridgton, ME, formerly of Wilmington, Dec. 31. Beloved husband of Virginia (Coughlin) Rice; father of Wilson E. Rice, Jr. and his wife Carlynn of Reading, Holly M. Rice and Carolyn Helwig and her husband Gerry all of Bridgton, ME; grandfather of Wilson E. Rice, III of Germany, Haley Hall of Westbrook, ME, Ashley Hall of Bridgton, ME, Darren Helwig of Bangor, ME, Heather Helwig of North Conway, NH and Lindsay Helwig of Fryeburg, ME; great grandfather of Dylan, Suzanne, Darren Jr., Quincie, Nathyniel, Wyatt; special uncle of Christine Coughlin of Reading and William Stickney of Auburn, NH; brother of Ernest B. Rice, Jr. of Palm City, FL, Elaine Stickney of Auburn, NH, and Burton F. Rice of Ft. Myers, FL. Mr. Rice is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral from the W.S. Cavanaugh & Son Funeral Home, 374 Main St. (Rt. 38), WILMINGTON, on Saturday morning at 9:45. Funeral Service at the United Methodist Church, 87 Church Street (Rt. 62), Wilmington at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the family lot Wildwood Cemetery, in Wilmington. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations in his name may be made to the American Lung Association, 25 Spring Street, Walpole, MA 02081 or Bridgton Hospital, 10 Hospital Drive, Bridgton, ME 04009.
