Alfred Levern "Vern" Lindsey Sr., 59, of Palmetto, FL, transitioned on April 13, 2021. He is survived by wife, Kawanda Lindsey; one son, Alfred "AJ" Lindsey Jr; mother, Ethel Lindsey; and three siblings. Visitation will be 5-8PM Friday, April 30, 2021. Services are 1:30PM Saturday, May 1, 2021. Both at Westside Funeral Home, 204 7th St W, Palmetto, FL. Arrangements entrusted to Westside Funeral Home (941) 722-4960. Rest in peace to a wonderful cousin who will be missed. I remember the two of us sitting on our grandmother’s porch in Georgia and teasing each other about our nicknames. I can remember it so vividly because that was the time I saw Vern laugh the most. He was always so quiet. I know the Lord is saying I have received my peaceful Angel. Rest in peace “Vern”.

To Kawanda Lindsey, Family and Friends:
On behalf of myself and my family we are very saddened by the lost of my friend “Vern”.
As you know; our friendship goes way back and I am very proud and blessed to have had Vern in my life.
I can’t asked GOD why, But GOD only know why.
I learned, shared, laughed, cried and live life with Vern to many times to count, I am so thankful. ❤
I will miss him, his sense of humor, his cool walk and much more. ❤
I love him like a brother and proud that I shared my life with him❤.
May GOD continue to bless Kawanda, family and friends at this time of sorrow.
I will continue to honor Vern’s memory with respect, love and positive blessings❤.
