We have been life long friends of Debbie and Fred Wagner. I drove from Gulfport Mississippi to attend the celebration of these two lives and can say I have never been more proud of our Myakka, Bradenton and Sarasota kids. The respect you showed to both of these families, the tribune you all paid to Brett and Josh with your own style and grace is beyond words. The vow each of you took to keep their memories a live was so heart warming that it has moved me to make my own pledge to these two great guys. I will place a small orange ribbon and a small green ribbon on my seat belt and will cross my hear each time I buckle up to honor of these families.

Mr and Mrs Wagner,
Please allow me to extend my deepest and heartfelt sympathy at the loss of your beloved son. My husband and I lost our 21 year old son along with his best friend in a horrific car accident some years back. We can truly say we understand your profound loss and grief. This is because we have been through the same experience. Many will think and may even say they understand how you feel, forgive them, they mean well. I promise you will make it through this. You will learn, day by day, to live with this tragedy and then one day you will begin to feel that you can breathe again. You will have many setbacks but you will persevere. I promise you this. You will do this by loving each other well, and you will honor his memory by living your lives fully as he would want you to do. You will carry him in your hearts until you are together again. God bless you in this time of sorrow and beyond.

I am so sorry for your loss. I totally understand your pain. My son Andrew lost his life March 13 in the tragic accident in Sarasota with 4 teens. Wagner Family,
As I looked up into the sky tonight I saw a star that far outshined all the others... I immediately thought of your beautiful son, Brett, and how brightly he shined during his short 18 years on this earth, and how he is shining even brighter in his new eternal home. I remember Brett coming over to our house when he was just a little guy to work on school projects with my son - such fun times, and we feel honored to have known such a great young man. I can't begin to ever imagine the pain, grief, and sadness you are feeling, but pray that with time peace will come and you will see Brett's bright shining star watching over you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Brett was a fine young man. I had the pleasure of meeting him when he was placed on my son Andrew's YMCA basketball team in 2007.
He will be greatly missed amongst family, friends and the community.

I am at a loss for words. I knew Brett from afar as my youngest son is a couple of years older, but played football as a Bulldog. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Bretster touched so many people and will always remain in our hearts. His radiant smile and infectious laugh touched our life in so many ways words can not explain. We can still see him, James and Garret running around the race car down at the shop.
