I have not lived in Blairstown for over twenty years but return occasionally to visit and attend Sunday services at the First Methodist Church on Stillwater Road. That is where today I heard that Mrs. Elinor Lowman had died. I am so sorry and my heart goes out to everyone in the family. During our class reunion this summer, Diana Lowman Middleton, my former classmate, had shared some of the loving concerns that family members had for her mother. I know they will miss her dreadfully. I know that there are many in the town who still remember Smitty's Hardware and how much the Lowmans meant to the town.
