Harm Weber Obituary

Harm Allen Weber, Jr., 83, Bradenton, died April 27, 2010. Born in Pekin, Illinois he moved to Bradenton in 1991 from Elgin, Illinois. A member of Bethel Baptist Church of Bradenton, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and a life member of Rotary Club. He graduated B.A./B.D. from Bethel College and Seminary 1946-1954 in St. Paul, Minn., was Pastor of four churches, Isle Baptist in Isle, Minn; Central Baptist in Indianapolis, Ind.; First Baptist in Muncie, Ind.; and Covenant Baptist in Detroit, Mich. He retired as President of Judson College from 1969-1991, and was Chancellor from 1991-2010. Survived by wife of 61 years, Arlie of Bradenton; sons, Harm A. (Lynda) Weber, III of Danbury, Wis., Rev. Matthew Karl Weber of Des Plaines, Ill.; daughter, Jan Christine (Steve Buttress) Weber of Kearney, NE; and eight grandchildren. Memorial Service will be 2p.m. Saturday May 1, 2010 at Bethel Baptist Church 1805 30th Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34205. Memorial donations to Judson University in Elgin, IL or Bethel Baptist Church. Found Out just now that Harm passes left for Glory. wow He beat me to see our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I sure loved Harm and enjoyed his company and he is missed on earth already. Wonderful christian and he is now part of the Cloud of Witnesses.
