Donna Yetzer Obituary

ST. MARYS - Donna K. Yetzer, 87, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Pear Road, passed away Tuesday (Aug. 19, 2025), following a brief illness.
She was born March 3, 1938, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Louis and Rose Sarginger Krieg.
On Sept. 17, 1960, she married the late Dane Yetzer, who preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1994. Together they shared nearly 34 years of marriage.
Donna was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She retired from Stackpole Carbon after more than 30 years of dedicated service. She was also employed for more than 14 years at the former Elk Regional Health Center. When Donna wasn't yard saling, she could be found hard at work in her kitchen, crafting her delicious peanut butter eggs and baking wonderful treats for her family. She will be lovingly remembered for her raisin filled cookies, which were always a treat to those around her, and that few have been able to replicate.
Armed with a true servant's heart, Donna would spend her days spoiling her neighbors' dogs, helping others in her neighborhood, and being a genuine friend to all she met. She never turned down the chance to go polka dancing, and she always took great pride in the American flag, which she proudly displayed anytime she had the chance. Her family will always cherish the memories that were made at Christmastime, when Donna would spend months preparing for their annual Christmas Grab Bag, and would laugh and laugh at the humorous gifts she added to the party pile.
She is survived by three children, Tami (Harv Prechtl) Anzinger of St. Marys, Kathy Wittman of St. Marys and Rusty (Stacy) Yetzer of Wilcox; her daughter-in-law; Charlene Yetzer of St. Marys; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two siblings; Gary (Kris Kronenwetter) Krieg of Wilcox and Carol Thompson in California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Donna was preceded in death by her son Randy Yetzer on April 2, 2018; her longtime companion, Dick Schwabenbauer; four brothers, Bill, Bud, Howard "Nipper," and Dick Krieg; and one sister, Esther Miller.
Family and friends will be received 11 a.m. to noon Monday (Aug. 25, 2025) at Lynch-Green Funeral Home, where a memorial service will immediately follow, with Pastor Robert Zilhaver officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
