Patricia Payne

PORT ALLEGANY - Patricia M. Payne, 80, of Port Allegany died Saturday (March 15, 2025) at Bradford Manor. Born Jan. 17, 1945, in Sedalia, Mo., she was a daughter of Woodrow and Norma Murray Lentz.
On Aug. 31, 1963, in Austin, she married Jack L. Payne, who survives. A 1963 graduate of Austin High School, she was employed in the Port Allegany Hgh School cafeteria. She served as Port Allegany Borough tax collector and delivered Meals on Wheels. Patty was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church and attended Faith Church of Charity in recent years. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees.
Patty enjoyed walking, crocheting, cooking and spending time with family. Surviving in addition to her husband, Jack, are three children, Jack L. (Pamela) Payne Jr., Brian (Kathleen) Payne and Kimberly Payne; five grandchildren, Tyler (Alex) Payne, Charles Payne, Kelsey (Ben) Osani, Chloe Payne and Claire Payne; five great-grandchildren, Michael Payne, Eli Payne, James Payne, Luciana Payne and Riven Osani; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a great-grandson, Taric Osani; and two sisters, Sarah J. "Sally" Moate and Ruby A. Stahl.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday (March 20, 2025) at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Crematory, Switzer Chapel, 77 Willow St., Port Allegany, where funeral services will immediately follow. Pastor Deborah Mallory will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.
