William Aylward Obituary

William J. Aylward, 62, of Kodiak, Alaska, formerly of Bradford, passed away Wednesday (Jan. 27, 2021) at his residence.
Born Sept. 26, 1958, in Bradford, he was a son of William J. and Helen J. Holleran Aylward.
Bill was a 1976 graduate of Bradford Central Christian. He enlisted in the United States Navy on Jan. 25, 1977 and was honorably discharged on Jan. 24, 1981.
Throughout his life he was employed as a meat cutter and worked for years with his father in Bradford. He was a proud and valued member of the American Legion Robert Blair Post 17, in Kodiak, Alaska.
Surviving are two sisters, Barbara Kubiak of Bradford and Sueanne Toomey of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers, James (Donna) Aylward of Bradford and Thomas Aylward of Spirit Lake, Id.; three nieces, Sherry Aylward, Laurie (Al) George, and Kimberley Gibbons; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, two brothers-in-law, William Kubiak and William Toomey; and a sister-in-law, Donna Aylward.
Funeral services will be private and held by the family. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
Funeral arraignments are under the direction of Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
