I just found this site and would like to add. It is funny how when you only see a person a couple times in 25 years how the memories that come to mind are of when we were kids. Most of my memories of Brian were on the farm all those years ago. He always wanted to help and always wanted to be in the middle of everything. Brian was an amazingly gentle soul. He had a great and wonderful heart. He will be truly missed on earth but is celebrated in heaven with Grandma and Grampa Wittmeyer. I LOVE THIS FAMILY

We will remember Brian as a nephew with a big heart and a warm and loving spirit. When we were able to see him over the years, we looked forward to the next visit, because his kindness and laughter were so much a part of Brian. He knew how to make Jack roar with laughter. We will keep his family in our prayers, and we are so grateful that he was part of our lives.

Brian was such a great guy. I look back on our high school days with so many great memories. Brian did it all!!! Football, homecoming King, hunting, the Senior Play , I Remember Mama. We had so much fun in that play. During the serious scenes Brian would be making faces trying to make us laugh. You could count on him to always do the right thing. He was nice and kind to everyone, smiling and always laughing!! I will miss him. To his wife and children , know that he is pain free and at peace with God but will always be watching and smiling down on you. Cherish the great memories!! My prayers are with you!!

I haven't seen Brian since graduation but anytime I think back on my childhood;Boston Elementary, Town of Boston Baseball, Highschool Football, and occassionally a rare visit to the "shack", Brian is one of the first people I think of.

Dear Wittmeyer Family,
I am so sorry that Brian has passed away. However, even though his body is no longer with us, his spirit still lingers. He is still being carried around with us in our hearts and minds through the love that he gave us and the moments that he shared with us to make unforgettable memories. May God bless all of you and watch over you in these tough times.

I met Brian at a Wittmeyer reunion when I was still dating his cousin, Renee Schwartz. He welcomed me immediately as one of the family.
As soon as he realized how good my horse shoe throwing was, Brian wanted me on his team. I was excited about the fact that someone actually wanted me on their team.
I, as well as everyone will miss him as the Master of Ceremonies at the annual pumpkin festival.
I will miss his kindness, patience and sense of humor. He was a great person.
Rest In Peace, Brian.

I grew up with Ricki, Chris, and Brian playing cowboys and indians in the 1970s. I was older than Brian but he was like the little brother we all wanted to have. Chris and I were close and recently just connected on Facebook. I'm so deeply saddened this happened...Rich and Carolyn and all the family will be in my prayers. God bless. Bob "Bobby" Jeswald

I was so saddened to hear of Brian's passing. Although I didn't know him long, he soon became one of my favorite patients. He always brightened my day with his smile and his laugh. Although the reason for his visit with me was not a pleasant one, he was always in a good mood and glad to see me. I take small comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering. I will keep your family in my prayers.

I was so saddened to hear about Brian. From riding the bus to his house from Boston Valley, to playing baseball at Boston Town Park, to Junior High and throughout High School, I remember Brian as a true gentleman and a wonderful example of those good 'ol Boston Boy's.
If only someone would have told us that we were all growing up in a perfect Norman Rockwell painting and having some of the best days of our lives. While we never would have believed it. That doesn't mean it wasn't true.
To the Whittmeyer family, my thoughts are truly with you.

Brian-
God saw you were getting tired,
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
And whispered, "Come to me"
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
Thanks for being such a great cousin I will never forget you. Thanks for all the great memories.
Heather, Alyssa and Emma,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I was shocked and saddened to read of Brian's death. I immediately recognized his name and photo. He was one of my students in fifth grade at Boston Valley School. It was my first class way back in the late 70's and what a great group of kids they were. Brian was one of my favorites...always laughing, funny, kind, great personality. I'm sorry to hear he had been ill. My condolences to his wife, children, parents and family members.

Dear Heather, Alyssa, Emma, Rich and Carolyn. I am so very sorry. It is difficult to find words through the tears. I was in Allegheny when I received the news of Brians death. I paused for a moment and thought how Brian would have loved being there with nature. He fought the two year battle as a soldier would.
He is at peace now in heaven with Grandpa Wittmeyer, probably checking to see who's pumpkin will win the trophy.

Our hearts are heavy for you at the loss of Brian. We can not say "we understand" because we have not walked in your shoes. But this we can say....."we love and deeply care for you." We feel such sorrow for all of you. May the presence of Jesus Christ sustain you. May His peace fill you to overflowing and His Holy Spirit ....The Comforter....truly comfort you.
"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27
