NEWMAN - David L. Entered into rest after a long illness, August 2, 2014, David was born December 21, 1939 in New Jersey and moved to Lockport at a very young age. Loving and devoted husband to Madeleine (Davenport) for 54 years; devoted and proud father to Tim (late Patricia) and Paul (Robin); cherished Papa to Kamryn and Ty Newman; son of the late Henry and late Marcella; stepson to the late Neil Burton Frasier; brother of Henry (Patricia), Elizabeth (late Donald) Schultz, Marcy (Henry) Ferguson; also survived by many nieces, nephews and many dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's RC Church, Lancaster, Thursday morning at 11 AM. No prior visitation. David served in the US Navy, was chairman of the Lancaster-Depew-Elma Chamber of Commerce, national past president of the Fraternal Order of Orioles and a member for 43 years. Served as a trustee for the village of Lancaster. He was the owner of Newman Business Forms. He was a lover of golf and enjoyed many years of playing with family and friends, an organ donor and lifelong Buffalo Bills fan.
