Of Grand Island, NY; Beloved husband of 55 years to Susan Hodge Nickson; Dear father of Christopher (Melissa) Nickson and Timothy (Crystal) Nickson; Loving grandfather of Bryce, Allison, Ethan, Brianna Nickson; brother of Elizabeth (Steven) Brigham; brother-in-law of Lora (Brian) McGowan; also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends may call at D. LAWRENCE GINNANE FUNERAL HOME 3215 Delaware Ave. Kenmore Thursday (August 21st) 3:00 – 7:00 PM. All are invited to a Memorial Service at Church of the Advent Episcopal 54 Delaware Rd. Kenmore, NY Friday at 1:00 PM. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. I always enjoyed catching up with Ed whenever I would see him in the ARC at the Zoo. A "docent desk" was included with the renovation of the old reptile house because of Ed, and I will think of him every time I occupy that space to help educate the guests of the zoo, something Ed was passionate about. I will miss seeing him dearly.
