Dear Mr and Mrs Vogl, I hope that each passing day reminds you of how special your children are. Please say hello to Joey and the rest of the kids. I still remember our trips from Indian Church Rd, down Newman Place and on to West Seneca East High to play ball with the Mustangs. I was very sorry to here about Jack passing away suddenly. He was one of my neighborhood hero's growing up and an excellent man. My apology for the delay in response as I was shocked to hear the news. I am not sure what I can say to console you other than I know that he made all of your lives richer while he was here and his legacy will continue to do so in the years ahead. Ron and Vi, Mary, Kathy, Karen, Pat, Joe, Ron, and Dave, you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Your one of the best families I know. May your close bonds will keep you strong.

My most heartfelt condolences go out to you all. Some of the best times of my childhood were spent fishing with Mr. Vogl, John and Adam in the tin can in Hanford Bay. Who could ever foget the wiffle ball games and fires at the cottage off the bunny trail. He was a truly great man and will be forever missed.

To the Vogl family:
Words don't seem sufficent at this time, but as a kid growing up in SJE we always admired the closeness of the Vogl family and Jack in particular had a special quality. To a young impressionable kid he was a combination of Clint Eastwood and the Marlboro Man, someone you always looked up to and wanted to immulate. From his rugged good looks to his athletic ability to cruising on his motorcycle through Caz park, he was the definition of "cool". I'm proud to say I knew Jack and the rest of the Vogl family.
Leslie, I'm glad I had a chance to stop in front of the house and say hello to you and Jack a couple weeks ago when I was in Buffalo. I'm truly sorry for your loss, you and your children are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless the Vogl family.

Leslie, your husband and you did such an amazing job raising such incredible children. Every Lacrosse game in high school both Jack and you were at. All the away games when my brother played with your sons for Bishop Timon Lacrosse Team were always an adventure filled with laughs. Our family loves all of you so much and always have a good time with all of you. All of John and Adam's friends looked up to Jack and he was an incredible role model to each and every single one of them. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. To Leslie, John, Adam, Elizabeth and the entire Vogl Family,
We were so sorry to hear about Jack. He was a great Husband, Father, Son and Friend.
When you hung out with Jack, you knew you were going to have plenty of laughs. He had a way of making you feel good and somehow had a way of talking you into doing things you may never do...again, like go Deer Hunting.
He will be missed. It was a true honor to call him "My Friend". I know there are going to be plenty of stories, "Remember the time we...", followed by tears of laughter.

Condolences to the Vogl family. Jack was a great guy and I will always remember him as part of the Seneca St. and SJE "gang". Memories of B-ball at Caz courts and Sunday nights at the SJE gym are as vivid as yesterday. Jack, I can't believe you are gone.
I still remember the statement you made 30 years ago that you were going to live everyday to the fullest. I know you did. We had great times together both as workmates and socially - we had great times at the Brick Bar, Buddy. You always provided comfort and hope for me when things were tough; someone I could always talk to. I will cherish your memories and those times forever.

Jackie was more than a great guy...He could tune up an engine, shoot a turkey, build a garage and streak around end with a football in his arms.
He loved and cherished his family more than anything....never an unkind word...the essence of true manhood and a gentleman of the highest order. We are all less without you here, my man.
