WENDT - Kenneth L. Of Sanborn, NY, December 10, 2009; husband of Dianne S. (Sawyer) Wendt; father of Mark K. (Maria) Wendt, Paul R. (Susan) Wendt, Todd W. (Emma) Wendt and Dana (Scott) Wendt-Vermilya; grandfather of Janice, Joshua (Sara), Jacob, Trevor, Kyle (Megan), Kari (Richard) Jones, Kati, Diana, Kimberly and Eric, great grandfather of Kyara, Savanna Jones and Emma, brother of Glenn ( Jean) Wendt, Forrest (late Gail) Wendt, Gracelyn (late John) Bilek and late Donald (Dorothy), Marvin (Ruth), Bertram and William, Jr.; brother in-law of Norine and Darla Wendt; also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Where Seabee services will be held Saturday at 7:30 PM and the Sanborn Fire Co. Services will be held Sunday at 7:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, 6630 Luther Street, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made in his name to the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Assoc., 555 Fairview Ave., Creve Coeur, IL 61610-3237 or to Holy Ghost Church. Ken Thank you for all you have done for the NSVA & NSVAA. Your assistance and hard work will surely be missed by all members of the Organizations. May you rest in Peace with calm winds and following seas. We know that you now serve with our Supreme Commander in his Heavenly Seabee Construction Battalion and we will meet again one day to continue doing His and our duty.

Our deepest condolences go out to Dianne and the Wendt family.
I always enjoyed my time with Ken at our SEABEE functions. I was privileged to have had Ken give me a tour of the Tonawanda SEABEE Memorial that he was so very proud.
Ken was a member of the NSVA whose advice I counted on when I was National Commander. We will miss him greatly. Thank you Ken.

To the Ken Wendt family. I have known Ken since I was very young, I have not seen him in quite some time, as we (my husband Don and I) moved to Florida several years ago. Don did know him also, but not as long as I knew the Wendts. (I kinda grew up with them.) I am sending my reguards and sympathy to you all, Especially did I know Fosch, as did my husband) God Bless you all in your time of loss. I also lost Don (hustand) this past July.
