I was delighted to meet Pat about five years ago at the St. Patrick´s Day family gathering at Blackthorn. My maternal grandmother, the late Marian McGovern Campbell, and Pat´s dad, were first cousins. Pat graciously welcomed us, and it meant so much to me to talk about our "family tree."
Truly a wonderful man.
He will be sorely missed.
God bless Pat. May he Rest In Peace. His funeral was a wonderful tribute, testament and farewell to this fine Irish lad.

Best memory ever is when he managed to get a case of the famous family pickles to his aunt in Connecticut by a state trooper escort. The look on her face was priceless when the trooper knocked on the door and delivered them and then all the tears and laughter there after. My personal favorite is when I came to the Blackthorn a few years ago for family traditions on Saint Patty´s `s day and saw my Jiminy cricket hanging out at the bar watching over everyone as I know he will watch over us. May he hug and embrace those we´ve lost already and keep us safe until we all meet again
