Robert Rubocki Obituary

74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Emery Place, Cedar Rapids, from Alzheimer's. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family. He was born on July 14, 1951, in Buffalo, New York, the son of Andrew and Caroline (Vizzi) Rubocki. He was united in marriage to Mary Klein on May 8, 1976, in Buffalo, New York. He worked as an Accountant for General Mills for over 30 years. He loved stock car racing, hockey, and football, especially the Buffalo Sabres and the Buffalo Bills. He coached the Roughriders Little League hockey for a few years. He also worked at Hawkey Downs after retirement. He is survived by his wife, Mary Rubocki, children, Michael (Sara) Rubocki, and Philip Rubocki (friend, Amanda); grandchildren, Thomas Rubocki and Shelby Rubocki; and siblings, Marlene Sullivan and Ronald (Jenae) Rubocki. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to extend their appreciation for his care to The Caregivers, St. Croix Hospice, and Emerys Place.
