My deepest condolences to the Labuzzetta family. I know that he passes away many years ago, however, I just discovered it now as I joined the West Seneca West Senior High Facebook page as I live in Florida for over 25 years. I graduated from WSW in 1977, and I was one of the troublemakers that keep your dad busy back in the day. The nice thing is as I matured and went to college, and became a respectable person, your dad's influence still is with me to this day. He was tough but fair, and I probable get hit more than most with his clipboard, but I highly respected him. RIP Mr. Labuzzetta.

Mr Labuzzetta was one of the greatest educators I ever met. Without knowing it, he had a positive influence on my life. I was lucky enough to have a fun, but respectful relationship (although he never did pay for me to go to law school like he promised!). My favorite memory is when a friend and I cut a chemistry test (and got caught). Ted and Frank Ventura were literally laughing at us, as it appears we were the first to ever cut the Dr's class! I will never forget them laughing at two sophomores ( and we were wise fools). He told us we had a weeks detention but never enforced it. Saw him years later and he said he didn't because he was amused we had the gall to do it.
My thoughts and prayers for his family, but know the Mr. Labuzzetta was loved and admired by countless people he touched.

It seems many feel fortunate to have known Ted Labuzzetta as a friend, neighbor, teacher, and administrator. I was most fortunate of all; he was my loving brother.

Thanks to all for all your kind words from his knucklehead son Paul! As you get older you really appreciate the wisdom of my father. He was a great influence in my life and my light bulb didn't light up until I was in my mid twenties. We need more men like him to just do something about problems when they happen and not after the smoke clears. When attending many events at West Seneca West saw many students greet my father. Some called him Ted, the beak and Lab. You know they all respected him. He didn't give up on people and always pushed bettering yourself. Thanks again for all your kind words!

Students recognize when a teacher truly cares about them, and Mr. Labuzzetta certainly did. He was a wonderful teacher, and a true gentleman. Thanks for everything, Mr. Labuzzetta. My sincere condolences to his family.

Mr. Labuzzetta was a favorite of mine. I'll never forget his strict, yet fun disciplinarian style. He was a favorite of mine. We need his style today. What a great guy! RIP Mr. Labuzzetta, you certainly put me in my place when I needed it. WSW Class of 1982

Ted was one of my favorite administrators at West Senior. He was a man to emulate for a new teacher. I loved his personality and how he dealt with the students. Ted broke up many a tryst with "Let's go Romeo" with a smirk and a glint in his eye. We both loved eating eggplant and he never forgot to bring me a few from his beautiful garden. God bless my dear friend, you will be greatly missed. by all.

My heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
What a great guy he was. Not often do you hear students saying how much they liked their teachers and principals? But everyone of us has a great story to tell about Mr Labuzzeta. He was one in a million.

Mr. Labuzzetta was stern on the exterior, but had the heart of a kind gentleman. He had a "hello" for any of us in daily passing & a great sense of humor, but I was never the one getting in trouble in the hallways! What a wonderful influence on many of the WSW Sr. High School students! May he rest in peace & his family realize how appreciated he was. c/o 1976

i feel so fortunate to have been able to reconnect with him a few years ago. I was able to see that the strict Vice Principal was really such a kind man with a wonderful wit. He touched many lives, and he is being remembered by many former students today. Rest in peace Sir,

Sorry to the family for your loss. I graduated in 1983 from WSW. I wasn't the best behaved or smartest kid in school, but "Uncle Ted" as I used to call him always treated me fairly whether it was for getting in trouble or just lending me lunch money for the day, I always respected the man. He was one of a few adults from my school years who made a difference in my life and actually made me think I could be a better person, even during the times when I didn't always respect myself. God bless him!

A master of humor, fair discipline, mentorship and gentle compassion. Here is indeed a role model that, as both an educator and administrator at West Seneca West HS, made a very real and positive difference in my life.
