Herr Savery was a young German teacher when I was a SJCI student in the early 1980´s and ran the ski club when I was an upperclassman, and he is one of the teachers that took an interest in my studies and pushed me to succeed. His classes were always fun and educational. I also learned to make mass amounts of Jägersnitzel to serve as lunch in the St Joe´s cafeteria. He was an excellent teacher and an even better person. He also went out of his way to watch out for my son when he taught the second generation of Beiters. Danke Herr Savery, Danke.

Uncle Bill...a friend, neighbor, my dear family away from Minnesota, my dog's relief when I was at work too long! Many meals of pizza, wings, Friday night fish fries and Theresa's great cooking. Blessed to Tim and Chris enter the family and watch them grow. Shared many family and friend gatherings with lots of laughter and craziness!!
He gave me an lifetime opportunity to chaperone a German group to NYC...visited the original twin towers, empire bldg, times Square, Broadway play and climbed inside the statue of liberty. He was a hard worker ...remodeled home and cleared many many trees!!.
Bill, thanks for the great memories.
Many huge hugs for Theresa, Tim and Chris until we meet again in the future.

William Savery was my German teacher for four years. The only reason that I took German is that I shadowed a student while in 8th grade. I sat in on his German class and was mesmerized. Mr. Savery focused on myself and another 8th grader. By the end of the class I could count to one million Auf Deutsch! His passion and compassion made him a wonderful teacher. Some of my favorite memories from SJCI are of his classes. May he rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family.

Dear Savery Family,
On behalf of the gentlemen of the St. Joe's Class of 1990, we would like to express our deepest condolences and prayers for both Bill and his family.
It has been said that no words are going to replace the beloved loss of life. However words will stir upon each of your emotions and memories of the power of the love each of you had for them.
Words will embrace you from Bill, a husband, teacher and friend. Let words keep him alive in your hearts.
It is in times of great sadness like this, to look back and take comfort in all of the beautiful memories you have of Bill. He gave so many to a lot of us in our years at St. Joe's. His dedication went passed the classroom, and outside on the ski slopes to create a windfall of memories of fun for us all that we can look back upon!
May God's mercy give you comfort knowing that Bill is now at peace.
Eternal rest grant unto Bill, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Bill now rest in peace. Amen.
May almighty God Bless the family of Bill with His peace and strength, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
With Jesus in our hearts....
