Robert Buckingham Obituary
A Celebration of life will be held 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday April 27, at Barney's, 201 N Mill Street, Wadena.
Bob was born Oct. 30, 1947, in Tipton, Iowa, the son of Oma Jane (Stiles) and Leslie Buckingham. He graduated from Independence High School with the class of 1967 and then enlisted in the United States Navy. After his service he returned to Independence where he worked at Corn Blossom until its closing in the 80s. He worked at Central States Furs in Aurora, Iowa for over 30 years up until his passing.
Bob is survived by his two children: Lesli J. Postel and Timothy D. Postel; and their mother, Theresa (Postel) Payne; three sisters, Donna Vittitoe, Barbara Olsen, and Kandace (Terry) Campbell; five nieces and three nephews; several local special friends, and many more from the town of Wadena that treated him like family.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Robert Olsen.
