So sorry to hear of Mark's passing- I've known him since school and he was my "Brother in law" for many years. Such a sweet man with a huge heart who saved me more than once when my car broke down. His presence will be surely missed. My deepest condolences to his Mom and entire family and loved ones, he was way too young to go. Rest in Peace Mark

Marcus will always be an inspiration for the kindness and compassion he showed to everyone in our neighborhood. Listening for his truck every week as he made his weekly tour of the streets of Burlington in his DPW Recycling truck will always be special in our hearts. It is not often that a person with such a difficult and often challenging job takes the time to get to know people on the route. Not only that, but children would follow his truck for blocks with their moms and others, fascinated by the machinery but more than that, by his patience and interest in every single person who took the time to get to know him. He is a model for how public employees would want to be. To say he will be missed is an understatement, and life on Beech St. will never be quite the same. Dear Marcus, may you rest in peace.
