Richard N. Sourdiff Jr.

Age: 35 • Milton, VT

Richard N. Sourdiff Jr., 35, the only child of Richard N. Sourdiff Sr. and Barbara Gail (Mackay) Sourdiff, passed away into heaven on February 6, 2016, after a 3 year battle with brain cancer.

Ricky was born on April 24, 1980 in Burlington, VT.

He graduated from Burlington High School, loved listening to Country Music, bowling, fishing, dancing, flags, plus he loved giving and receiving lots of hugs.

Rick is survived by his father, Richard Sourdiff Sr.; his step-mother, Sheila Carrassi Sourdiff; 2 step-sisters, Heather Hamlin and Rochelle Vopenka and her husband Lukas; step-grandparents, Sheryl Osgood and Anthony Carrassi, as well as several cousins, aunts and uncles.

Rick was predeceased by his mother, Barbara Gail MacKay, his maternal grandparents John and Barbara MacKay, and his paternal grandparents Joseph and Geneieve Sourdiff.

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, February 10th from 12:00-3:00 pm, with a Service @ 3:00 pm at the Corbin & Palmer Funeral Chapel, 9 Pleasant Street, Essex Junction, VT.

The family wishes to thank The Howard Center of Burlington, V.N.A. Hospice, The Cleft Palate Clinic, and The UVM Oncology Department.

A special thanks go to his loving caregivers and second family Tonya Willard, Lisa Sourdiff, Jody & Peter Delude for their dedication and hard work on Ricky's behalf to make his life more comfortable and rewarding.
