David Sefton Obituary

David C. Sefton
David C. Sefton, 87, of Saxonburg died Sunday at the Saxony Health Center.
Born Sept. 22, 1920, in Sarver, he was the son of Clarence D. and Dorothy (Ringer) Sefton.
He was a self-employed farmer.
Mr. Sefton served as an Army staff sergeant during World War II. He served in the Battle of the Bulge; and his military honors included the Combat Infantry Badge, the Good Conduct Medal, a Bronze Star and five Campaign Stars.
He was a lifetime member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Saxonburg VFW and American Legion. He also had been a director in the Farm Service Agency.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice M. Maizland Sefton, who died July 25, 2001.
He is survived by his brothers, George and Glenn Sefton, both of Saxonburg; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
SEFTON - Friends of David C. Sefton, who died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Saxonburg, with the Rev. Deborah Huffmyer officiating. Burial will follow at the Westminster Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The VFW will hold a service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church Building Fund.

MY MOM KNEW DAVE FROM COMING IN TO THE RESTAURANT WHERE SHE WORKED AND I JUST MET HIM THIS SUMMER HE WAS SUCH A NICE GUY! WE WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH!!!!!!

Dave and Alice were always friendly to Vivian and I over the many years they knew us. His farm was always well taken care of, and a delight to drive through. I will remember him and Alice forever. They were good people!!
