John Sasse Obituary

John "Leroy" Sasse, 83, of Emlenton, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 20, 2020, while at his residence.

Born on Oct. 16, 1937, he was the son of the late Otto Sasse and Nancy Rae "Sublett" Sasse.

He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, worked for many years at the U.S. Steel sintering plant in Saxonburg, followed by being a Pennsylvania state constable.

He also had a Christian tract ministry called Life Tract. He was a member of Homeacre Chapel and was a proud member of the Butler County Law Enforcement Association.

John was a born-again Christian, who had a passion for Christ, the Bible and sharing his faith. He loved his family. He also had a soft spot for animals, especially cats, and he had many over the years that he had rescued and loved.

He leaves behind two children, Jonathan (Heidi) Sasse and Michele (Benjamin) Burd; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his former wife, Beverly Sasse; three brothers and one sister, Jay (Sue) Sasse, Charles (Jean) Sasse, Norman Sasse and Nancy (Wayne) Polkey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Donald Sasse, Francis Sasse, Oscar Sasse, Waneda Weitzel and Jean Hunter.

SASSE - Private services for John "Leroy" Sasse, who died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020, are being handled by H. Jack Buzard Funeral Homes of Parker.
